My Favorite Book

I had recently read a book that at first didn’t seem interesting, but we always know not to judge a book by its cover. So I took the book and read the first 20 pages, and let me tell you It Was GREAT. I never thought that I would get into a book so easily, because when it comes to books and really reading them, it better be good. The book was called “Not Ready for Marriage, Not Ready for Sex: One’s Couples Return to Chastity,” by Chris and Linda Padgett This book is so inspirational, it made me feel so great, how God comes in a couples relationship, and make things so much better. I had learned so much, from it; dating tips (what to do and what to NOT to say and etc.), also what are some ideas for an easy and cheap way for a date (which is really cool), and just more things like that. But most importantly it talked about things we humans don’t really like to talk about. Sex. It talked about how we should respect it, seeing that it is a wonderous gift from God. I am so happy that I had read that book, it gave me a different point of view about dating, marriage, sex, love, and most important, is how awesome God is involved with every part of it. I am truly proud to say that this book “Not Ready for Marriage, Not Ready for Sex: One’s Couples Return to Chastity.” is a loving and adventurous book for all to read. I myself read it within 48 hours, and is ready to read it again.

Stations of the Cross

So just yesterday, two friends of mine and me went to church to go to Stations of the Cross.  If some of you don’t know what it is, it is a time during lent where the priest goes to ever station in the church.  When I say station, I mean every step of the way Jesus went through on the process to crucifixion.  By the way there are fourteen stations.  This is very emotional for some people, because you get to realize and know how it was for Jesus, getting through each step, of the way; for example he’s troubles like falling, and how he got up with a fellow friend Simon.  When I go, I am happy, because it makes me feel and know that he has died for me and for my sins, and for others for that matter.  After each station the priest and people that attend say an Our Father, Hail Mary, and a Glory Be.  I personally think that this is a great time to go to church, because you really get the idea of what Jesus went through for all of us.  So as I said about stations of the cross, afterward the others and me went out to eat.  All of us had the craving for some hamburgers, but right when we got there we realized that its’ Friday, and on Fridays, we can’t eat meat……

Here I Am Lord

I have just returned this weekend from a conference called Here I Am Lord. It was so incredible it really gave me a different point of view of so many things. This weekend I had the opportunity to listen to so many interesting people: Chris Padgett, Deacon Ralph Poyo, Gianna Jessen, Tony Melendez, Sara Bauer, and a group called Popple. There was one guy I never got the chance to hear his name was Jason Evert, I was told he was an incredible speaker, I regret missing his talk. This weekend make me feel something, I never thought I would ever feel. This feeling I have is indescribable I still don’t know what it means, all I know is that it is a good feeling.

One speaker/musician was Tony Melendez, he was a man of virtue, honor, and knew what he wanted; he didn’t have much, but was happy with what he has. Tony Melendez, made me realize that what I have, I should be thankful for it, because there are people out in the world that would die for what I have. There was also a man named Chris Padgett he is a speaker, author, father, husband, and an incredibly funny man. He spoke out to many people, children and adults; he told us about his faith, how he met his wife which was such an awesome story, and about his children. He really knows how to communicate with people, I wish I could talk to people like he does.

One thing that made me feel good, was the fact that his wife and him wrote a book. I was so happy, I wanted to get it; and I had received one from one of my friends, by surprise, I was speechless. In my head I said thank you God. The rest of the Here I Am Lord Conference was a great experience, I cannot wait till the next one.
